[[PageOutline]] = Overview = The BSI C++ panel, more formally known as [http://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/committees/50003497 IST/5/-/21], is responsible for the UK standardisation process for C++. Much of this work involves interaction with [http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/ SC22/WG21] the ISO working group for C++. The BSI, as the the UK National Standards Body (NSB), registers members of the panel with ISO as "Individual Experts" and they represent the UK at SC22/WG21. = Meeting Schedule = A lot of work is done electronically though a members-only [https://lists.accu.org/mailman/private/cxxpanel/ email list] and there also are a number of face to face meetings held each year; although a combination of geography and other commitments means that only a minority of members are able to attend these. {{{#!td The provisional 2024 virtual BSI C++ panel meetings are: * [wiki:members/meetings/2024/01_08 Mon 08 Jan (09:30 - 13:30 GMT)] * [wiki:members/meetings/2024/01_29 Mon 29 Jan (14:00 - 18:00 GMT)] * [wiki:members/meetings/2024/02_26 Mon 26 Feb (09:30 - 13:30 GMT)] * [wiki:members/meetings/2024/03_11 Mon 11 Mar (14:00 - 18:00 GMT)] * [wiki:members/meetings/2024/04_29 Mon 29 Apr (09:30 - 13:30 BST)] * [wiki:members/meetings/2024/05_28 TUE 28 May (14:00 - 18:00 BST)] * [wiki:members/meetings/2024/06_17 Mon 17 Jun (09:30 - 13:30 BST)] }}} {{{#!td The 2023 BSI C++ panel meetings were: * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/01_09 Mon 09 Jan] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/01_30 Mon 30 Jan] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/02_27 Mon 27 Feb] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/03_27 Mon 27 Mar] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/04_24 Mon 24 Apr] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/05_22 Mon 22 May] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/06_26 Mon 26 Jun] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/07_24 Mon 24 Jul] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/08_21 Mon 21 Aug] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/09_25 Mon 25 Sep] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/10_30 Mon 30 Oct] * [wiki:members/meetings/2023/11_27 Mon 27 Nov] }}} Meetings were normally held at the BSI: [wiki:bsi_meetings#Location 389 Chiswick High Road, London, W4 4AL], but since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic all meetings have been held online. These and other relevant panel meetings are shown in our [wiki:bsi_meetings#Calendar Google Calendar]. = Membership = The BSI C++ panel consists of a number of people who share a common interest in C++ and a desire to help with standardising the language as it continues to develop. Membership of the BSI C++ Committee is voluntary. There is no payment for membership nor charges for joining.
